Masrat Zahra
Masrat Zahra is a freelance photojournalist from Kashmir and a member of the Network of Women in Media, India (NWMI). She has been covering the situation on the ground in Kashmir for the past four years.
Her work sheds light on pressing human rights violations in one of the world's most highly militarised zones, covering instances of stone pelting during protests, gun battles, other violent occurrences in the conflict stricken region and the impact of the violence on women and children in the region. Her work has been featured in national and international publications.
