Masha Chitchenkova

Masha is Protection Coordinator for Europe and Central Asia at Front Line Defenders. She joined the organisation in 2008 and she is responsible for developing contacts with human rights defenders throughout Europe and Central Asia, providing rapid response to cases of HRDs at risk, undertaking research and fact-finding missions on the threats and attacks that they face, and producing relevant materials to take action in their support. Previously she worked at the International Federation for Human rights as a project coordinator for Eastern Europe and was involved with local human rights initiatives in Belarus and in the North Caucasus. Masha is a Board member of Tbilisi Shelter for Human Rights Defenders.
