Sayeed Ahmad is the Regional Coordinator for South-East Asia and the Pacific region.

Before joining Front Line Defenders, Sayeed Ahmad had worked with Asian Forum for Human Rights and Development (FORUM-ASIA) as the Program Manager for Asia Program and also as the Director (Programs).

He was the Public Information and Training Expert at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Bangladesh and his work was to assist the National Human Rights Commission, Bangladesh (NHRC) in planning and implementing its Public Information and Capacity Development activities. In addition to his work in developing training activities, he was also responsible for designing and implementing the NHRC’s various campaigns through developing publications, drafting articles, connecting with media as well as organising public events.

Prior to this, Sayeed Ahmad worked with Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK), a human rights organisation in Bangladesh for 10 years as Senior Coordinator of the Media and International Advocacy Unit.
