Freshiah Wanjiru

Freshiah Wanjiru, better known as Poet RJ, is an ‘’artivist’’ and poetry performer who writes on social justice issues, among other things. She is also a professional nurse and a public relations officer, and a member of the Wahenga Youth group, which uses art as a catalyst for change - utilizing poetry, music, graffiti, and other artistic forms to reclaim public spaces and foster harmonious relationships within the community. Her poetic talent has graced numerous prestigious stages, including the Nairobi Street Parade, Kenya National Theatre, Woman in Film Awards, Michael Joseph Center, and many more.
