LGBT+ people in Honduras live in permanent threat of violence

On the 3rd of July Antonia Laínez (38), a popular stylist in the department of Yoro in Honduras, was shot dead in unknown circumstances. 

Three days later, TV personality and journalist Santi Carbajal (32), was shot in the coastal region of Puerto Cortéz after leaving the studio with a friend who was also injured.

The following day in the capital, Tegucigalpa, two men shot dead Bessy Ferrera (40) and injured one of her colleagues.

El 3 de julio, Antonia Laínez (38), una popular estilista en el departamento de Yoro en Honduras, fue asesinada a tiros en circunstancias desconocidas.

Tres días después, la presentadora y periodista e televisión Santi Carbajal (32), recibió un disparo en la región costera de Puerto Cortés luego de salir del estudio con una amiga quien también resultó herida.

Al día siguiente, en la capital, Tegucigalpa, dos hombres mataron a tiros a Bessy Ferrera (40) e hirieron a una de sus colegas.

Tunisia: Court annuls the suspension of LGBTI organisation Shams

On 23 February 2016, the LGBTI organisation Shams won its legal challenge against the Tunisian authorities. On 28 December 2015, the Tunisian Court of First Instance had ordered the suspension of Shams activities for 30 days, accusing the organisation of having violated the NGO law. Following the organisation's appeal against this order, the Court has decided that Shams can now resume its normal activities.
