Roberto Miguel Sánchez Campos is a human rights defender, activist, law graduate from the UADY and co-founder of Kanan Derechos Humanos, an organization that accompanies processes of defense and promotion of human rights, environmental and Mayan communities in the Yucatan Peninsula. From a very early age he has been involved in activism for the rights of the university community in his state. Currently he accompanies various litigation processes against the imposition of extractive megaprojects in indigenous territories and local communities in Mexico.
