Salomé Saldarriaga J - Media & Publications Officer

Salomé Saldarriaga J joined Front Line Defenders in August 2023. As the Media & Publications Officer, she works to amplify the voices of human rights defenders and highlight the challenges they face globally.

She has previously collaborated with international NGOs such as Amnesty International and Greenpeace. As a multimedia journalist, Salomé has published work in both English and Spanish across global media outlets including CNN World, El País (Spain), Brújula Global (Mexico), EA WorldView (UK), International Association of Journalists (Germany), among others.

She holds a Master’s in Journalism and International Affairs from CNN and University College Dublin, and graduated summa cum laude with a BA in Social Communications, focusing on political communication. Salomé was part of the inaugural cohort of CNN and The Rockefeller Foundation’s Climate Storytellers from the Global South.

Born and raised in Colombia, she is currently based in Ireland.
