Daughtie is a Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), HIV and sex worker activist and feminist in Africa. She is a pioneer in the Sex Workers Rights Movement, where she co-founded and led The African Sex Workers Alliance -ASWA for 10 years.

Daughtie is a certified paralegal and has vast experience in community mobilization, movement building, facilitating community processes and capacity strengthening of key population groups and organizations. She has lead advocacy campaigns on sex worker rights and other sexual and gender minority groups and participated in the development of several community tools and guidelines that have been adopted globally.
