Atziri Avila

Atziri Avila is the Americas Capacity Builder at Front Line Defenders. She is a journalist and a woman human rights defender. Atziri has been part of Tlachinollan, one of the most emblematic Human Rights Center in Mexico, she coordinated the National Network of Women Human Rights Defenders in Mexico and is part of the National Citizen Observatory of Femicide. Atziri is experienced in citizen and institutional mechanisms of the protection of human rights defenders and journalists, as well as in the accompaniment of victims. She has experience in the construction of individual and collective protection plans, from an intercultural, gender and human rights perspective.
