UCIZONI

The Unión de Comunidades Indígenas de la Zona Norte del Istmo is an indigenous organization with more than 37 years, which since its inception has fought against the caciquismo for the defense of human rights of indigenous peoples in Mexico, as well as has worked in solidarity with other indigenous struggles in the Americas. The Union is made up of indigenous communities such as the Ayuujk Community. One of its pillars has been the resistance to megaprojects, as in the case of the Transisthmian Corridor.
