Digital Protection Consultant in Asia

Front Line Defenders is working to expand its capacity to support Human Rights Defenders (HRDs) in managing risks associated with the use of digital information and communications. We intend to offer direct on the ground support to HRDs through a Digital Protection Consultant (DPC) based in Asia.

We are seeking cooperation with a consultant to meet the digital protection needs of HRDs and human rights organisations at risk in Asia.

Candidates should have prior experience working with HRDs in the region, very good ICT skills (on the level of computer and network administrators and previous experience supporting digital protection for individuals and organisations). Experience with overall protection and/or psychosocial protection would be an advantage. Candidates should have good interpersonal skills allowing them to interact with HRDs at risk in situation of stress. Candidates should be able to work independently and be based in the region. Candidates need to speak very good English. Knowledge of the regional languages would be an advantage.

The Digital Protection Consultant will travel extensively and deliver support to HRDs both through face-to-face interaction and remotely.
