Following international pressure human rights defender Abdel Aziz Mohamed Ali Khieri was released from Dabak prison, North of Khartoum, on 5 August 2007 at 5 pm (local time) . He was arrested on 13 June 2007 following the protests on 13th. June 2007 against government plans to build the Kajbar Dam in Sudan's Northern State.
