Joint submission on the ASEAN Human Rights Declaration by Asian human rights defendersposted on: 2012/06/27

Asian human rights defenders have submitted an important joint submission to the ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights on the ASEAN Human Rights Declaration. The submission addresses the deeply flawed process and content of the draft Declaration. It was agreed by 48 Civil Society Organisations and people’s movements participating in the Fifth Regional Consultation on ASEAN and Human Rights on 22 June 2012.
