Democratic Republic of Congo: Brief on the current situation of human rights defenders in the DRC
DRCOn 11 October 2012, Front Line Defenders and the Groupe d’Associations pour la Défense des Droits de l'Homme et de la Paix (GADHOP — Group of Associations for the Defence of Human Rights and Peace), an NGO from North Kivu province, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), published a joint briefing note on the situation of human rights defenders in the DRC, and the challenges they face.
The paper has been published in advance of the 14th summit of the Francophonie which will take place from 12 – 14 October 2012 in Kinshasa, DRC.
