Advocacy/campaigning on individual cases of HRDs at risk

"Great news - novelist and human rights defender Tran Khai Thanh Thuy, whom Front Line has advocated for has been released ahead of schedule due to international pressure! I would like to thank Front Line for all your help and support in this case. It's very encouraging to see that all the hard work has paid off."

- HRD, Vietnam

Since January, Front Line Defenders has taken up more than 135 cases of human rights defenders in over 50 countries. Our Dublin and Brussels offices work with field-based staff in support of individual cases of human rights defenders. We call on repressive regimes to stop the persecution of human rights defenders and allow them to carry out their legitimate work. Front Line Defenders continues to actively engage with individual governments, the European Union and inter-governmental organisations such as the UN, COE and OSCE.
