UN Special Rapporteur Margaret Sekaggya Concludes Visit to Honduras; Echoes Front Line Defenders Alert About Violence Against HRDs
Margaret Sekaggya in Honduras UN Special Rapporteur Margaret Sekaggya concluded her official visit to Honduras with a statement summarizing her visit and listing specific recommendations to the State, to human rights defenders and to the international community.

At the beginning of February, Front Line Defenders issued video statement calling attention to the increased violence Human Rights Defenders in Latin America were facing, and on which the organization was taking action.
In March, the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights will launch a new report on the status of Human Rights Defenders in Latin America, which is expected to draw greater attention to the increased risks and threats HRDs are facing in the region.
