Egypt: Update - Human rights defender Amr Salah confirms arrest
Human rights defender Mr Amr Salah has described his arrest by the Egyptian authorities, confirming that he was released at about 6.00pm on 10 September.
Further Information
He had spent 42 hours in detention, during which he was interrogated about his political and human rights activities.
Amr Salah is a researcher with the Cairo Institute for Human Rights Studies (CIHRS).
