Jackeline Rojas is a prominent human rights defender in Colombia. She is the oordinator and legal representative for the Organisation Femenina Popular in Magdalena Medio, Colombia. Jackeline Rojas and the OFP work to empower women and those who say no to war and violence. Human rights defenders are the objects of constant surveillance and attacks in Colombia.

Posted 8/11/2007 The OFP has documented 135 separate attacks on members of the OFP. Since 2001, Jackeline Rojas has been the victim of death threats and intimidation. There has also been an attempt to kill her by paramilitary groups.
On 3 December 2003, her brother Jose de Jesus Rojas Castaneda, a committee member of the organisation was killed by paramilitaries.
