Raising funds for at-risk human rights defenders
You can provide rapid and practical support to human rights defenders by raising money for Front Line.
Have your family or friends sponsor you to run in a local race, hike the Wicklow Way, or swim a mile. Or you can organise an event such as a table quiz, auction or charity gig.
Whatever you want to do, we’d like to help.
Even the smallest contribution can provide potentially lifesaving protection to a human rights defender at risk:
25 euro provides one month’s rent in a safe house for a woman human rights defender facing the daily threat of rape or murder as part of her efforts to council other female victims in her community.
50 euro – provides regional medical treatment for a human rights defender who has been tortured for supporting his village.
100 euro – provides for improved security such as steel doors and locks for the office of a human rights organisation that has seen two of its workers assassinated.
