Kenya - Kennedy W. Wafula

Due to the post election violence in Kenya at the beginning of 2008 Kennedy W Wafula and his family were living in “absolute and constant fear”. Ethnic linguists who believed that he was responsible for reports by Unions International implicating certain peoplein the ethnic violence targeted him for attack. Kennedy received a grant from Front Line which he used to relocate to an apartment in the center of town with much better security. He believes that had it not been for the grant he would probably been attacked. The place in which he had lived before was extremely insecure and open and he would not have been able to continue with his human rights work.
